I help women overcome stress and illness
Welcome
I coach women who are dealing with stress, illness or pain to shift from feeling overwhelmed, shattered and exhausted to feeling present, whole and empowered. I believe that living into our authentic being and our true nature is the antidote to suffering and stress and a potion for healing and wellbeing.
The journey towards wellbeing begins with a story of who you want to become and it will end with the story of who you once were.
Working as a Physiotherapist for a decade, I came to hear many stories from women undergoing illness, pain and stress. “I am not myself” “I can´t longer do the things I love to do”, “I miss the person I once was”. Other times the stories were telling of an idea of what the future held – “I´m dreaming of being able to have energy to see more friends”. There was always an underlying conversation concerning identity and a mix of dreams and memories involved.

I came to be increasingly interested in that journey of the identity in relation to our surrounding community and society. What if the real core issue of the suffering was the lack of feeling empowered in life. What if a lot of suffering came from being too wrapped up into the ideals and norms of what society was telling us to live up to and who to be, and too little connection to our authentic being? What if we brought self-compassion, imagination, memories, dreams, hopes and passions into the conversation in health care? What could change for people?
I was developing a feeling that something was deeply unnatural with how society as a whole and the health care system was operating. We were constantly conducting symptom relief to a stressed out population, but rarely viewing human beings, and especially women, as spiritual and social beings. I felt that our societies value of perfectionism, workaholism and lack of connection to the planet and nature was making people sick. When we were born, we were handed a set of “musts” and “shoulds” that constantly were overriding women´s personal and biological need for recovery, connection, authenticity, creativity and empowerment. I wanted to offer real life changing services rather than just give people massage and manual therapy to help them relieve their symptoms.
So I established Fabula Coaching– a service for women to dare to step into the realm of possibility, embark on a journey within and find their authentic voice in order to fin power to reframe the story they were living in.
So how do we begin to reframe our story and begin to become more empowered? it´s a constant process of stepping into it and stepping out of it.

Human beings consists of biological cells - and stories. And they are deeply intertwined.
Fabula: Fabula means story. The Cambridge Dictionary defines story as: A description, either true or imagined, of a connected series of events”. Human beings package information and create meaning through stories. Before the written word and the development of the press, storytelling was the primary way of how we transferred information. But storytelling has never disappeared -it´s deeply engrained in our DNA. Every person has a narrative, or story, that we are living in. It consists of events that have happened to us, ideas we have, feelings, beliefs, ideas and values all packed into a perceived reality. We define ourselves in language such as “ I am lazy” “I am this or that”. These stories become ingrained in us and begin living their own lives – especially if were not aware of them. We engage in “musts”, “should´s” or “dont´s” that we have inherited from family, friends as well as society and the culture we are living in. Sometimes, we get stuck in those stories of what we should be doing and who we are.
Embodiment: Embodiment means to manifest – to make visible, tangible, and real. To give form to something that is abstract. An embodied story is a story that not only lives in our minds, but also in our soul and in our body – it´s a story that manifests our true and whole self through and in our bodies as well as the words and narratives that we tell, spoken or written. We can tell stories either through movements, the transfer of sensations, as well as through spoken and written words. This is essentially what dancers do – they dance a story. But we can also see this in everyday life. Have you ever looked at a person’s posture thinking “wow they look really insecure”? Well this is how our bodies, how our nervous systems become part of our stories. In order to fully become empowered and to find change, we have to step into our bodies, both through stillness and in movement to unravel the old stories, and begin to build a new one.
